ACSRF supports Caritas’ blueprint for positive social change   [Posted 12 Feb 2010]
The Australian Catholic Superannuation & Retirement Fund (ACSRF), the country’s largest Catholic super fund, is joining forces with aid and development agency Caritas Australia by supporting its Blueprint for a Better World exhibition in Sydney.

Blueprint for a Better World showcases the eight Millennium Development Goals and Caritas Australia’s work in tackling them. It will be in Martin Place from 16-25 February and includes a Stop for Poverty freeze mob and a free ‘Jazz for Justice’ concert.

The Millennium Development Goals aim to eradicate poverty, reduce hunger, provide universal primary education and improve environmental sustainability.

ACSRF Chief Executive Officer Greg Cantor said: “ACSRF and Caritas Australia are both focused on ensuring a better future for all Australians, which is why we’re proud to assist with the Blueprint for a Better World exhibition.

“As Australia’s largest Catholic super fund, we’re committed to supporting local communities around the country and doing our bit to help Australia reach those Millennium Development Goals through, for example, our work to improve the financial education of our members.

“The recent Haiti earthquake highlights how vital Caritas Australia’s work is, and we urge all ACSRF members and Australians who share our values to put a Blueprint for a Better World into action.”
